Panaji: Tehelka editor-in-chief Tarun Tejpal has been given interim bail until 2.30 p.m. Friday by the district and sessions court here in Panaji.
Goa Police sought time to respond to Tejpal's counsel's petition for interim bail.
The bond amount has been set for Rs.20,000.
Tejpal's counsel said that he will cooperate with the investigation and that the summons did not give enough time for Tejpal to arrive in Goa from Delhi.
"He has always said that he would cooperate with the investigation. He should have been given a reasonable time to arrive in Goa."
The hearing will resume at 2.30 p.m.
