New Delhi: The results of Class 12 and Class 10, exams for which were held in the month of April/March, will be declared in the last week of May, a Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) said. Last year, the Class 12 results were declared on May 25 whereas the Class 10 results were announced on May 28.
Once declared, the results will be published online on the CBSE official website: cbse.nic.in
The candidates need to click on the given link and enter their roll number to check the results. On submitting the same, the results will get displayed on the screen. The candidates can also take a print-out for future reference.
This year the Class XII and Class (CBSE HSC, CBSE SSC or Class 12 and Class 10) exams were marred by complaints by the students. While Class 12 students said their Mathematics and Political Science papers were tough, Class 10 students said out of syllabus questions were asked in their Maths paper.
Reports of paper leak were also surfaced at some places.
After the issue was raised in the parliament, the CBSE promised a probe and take suitable action. It is also reported that the CBSE has suggested lenient paper evaluation, but it could not be officially confirmed.
The Central Board of Secondary education (CBSE) was established on November 3, 1962 and has its headquarters in Preet Vihar, New Delhi. CBSE's job is to regulate and supervise the development of education in the country. It's primary function includes to prepare academic programmes and organise examinations, especially for Class 10 and Class 12 students.
In 2015, a total of 13,73,853 candidates applied for Class 10 exam, out of which 55,59,12 were girls and 81,79,41 were boys. This year, 14,99,122 candidates have applied, out of which 60,64,37 are girls and 89,26,85 are boys.
For Class 12 exam, last year, a total of 10,40,368 candidates have applied, out of which 43,29,85 were girls and 607,38,3 were boys. This year, a total of 14,99,122 candidates have applied, out of which 44,66,41 are girls and 6,21,259 are boys.
