CBSE to release online AIPMT 2016 Admit Cards on April 07

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has postponed the release of students' 'Admit Cards' for All India Pre-Medical/Pre-Dental Entrance Test (AIPMT 2016) by a week. The decision has been taken because many students have not updated the needed details.

The CBSE had earlier announced that it would publish online the Admit Cards for the AIPMT 2016 on April 01. However it announced on Thursday that the AIPMT 2016 Admit Cards will now be published online on April 07.

"As per schedule, Admit Cards of AIPMT are to be hosted on website on 1st April, 2016. Admit Cards are containing vital information of the candidates. Some of the candidates have not updated their details despite several reminders. Such candidates have been informed by SMS to update their details.

"In view of above, Admit Cards will be uploaded on website on 7th April, 2016", the CBSE said in the official announcement made on Thursday.

All India Pre-Medical/Pre-Dental Entrance Test (AIPMT) is an annual medical entrance exam in India which is conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) for admission in MBBS and BDS courses running in medical colleges accross the country.

This year the exam will be held on May 01, 2016.

The entrance test is being conducted for the 15% merit positions in the Medical/Dental Colleges of India as specified in the directives of the Supreme Court and will be governed by the rules and regulations specified for the same by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India from time to time.

There are also State Governments/Universities/Institutions voluntarily participating in the All India Pre-Medical/Pre-Dental Entrance Test - 2016 for using its merit list for admission in the Medical Colleges/Dental Colleges against seats under their control, according to the AIPMT official website.

The responsibility of the CBSE is limited to the conduct of the entrance test, declaration of result and providing merit list to the DGHS and participating States/Universities/Institutions.

Steps to Download AIPMT 2016 Admit Card

  • Go to the official website of AIPMT at www.aipmt.nic.in
  • Click on the tab displaying ‘Candidate Login’
  • Enter Registration Number and Password
  • Click on Login button.
  • Click on the link of Admit Card
  • Admit card will be displayed on the screen
  • Download it and take a printout
