30-year-old man booked for stalking school teacher in Thane

Thane: A 30-year-old man has been booked for allegedly harassing a woman school teacher and stalking her on social media, police said Monday.

According to the police, the accused followed the 24-year-old school teacher on social networking site. Later, the accused called the victim's mother and threatened her of dire consequences.

The accused has been harassing the victim since June last year. Fed up with the harassment, the girl lodged the complaint with the police last evening.

On the basis of the complaint, the accused has been booked under Sections 354(D)(1)(2) and 506 of the IPC, police added.
