Haj Flight Status 2017: First flight carrying 300 pilgrims from Varanasi on July 24

Haj 2017 Flights from Varanasi

  The Haj Committee of India on Friday released the complete Haj flight schedule 2017 of all outbound and inbound flights from Lal Bahadur Shastri International Airport also known as Varanasi International Airport on its website.

According to the schedule uploaded on Uttar Pradesh State Haj Committee website, pilgrims from Eastern disricts of Uttar Pradesh will start embarking from Varanasi International Airport to perform Haj 2017 from by Air India from July 24, 2017 onwards.

The first flight Air India AI-5401 carrying 150 Haj pilgrims from Varanasi International Airport will depart at 10:40 am and arrive at Madinah Special Haj Terminus at 16:00 pm on the same day.

The next flight from Varanasi International Airport is again on July 24. It is Air India AI-5403 and will depart for Madinah at 13:55 pm and carry 150 Haj pilgrims.

A total of 33 flights will run from Varanasi Haj embarkation points. The last flight will be Air India AI-5465. It will depart from Varanasi at 14:00 pm on August 07, 2017 and reach Madinah International airport at 19:20 pm on the same day..

All 33 flights from Varanasi embarkation point will carry 150 haj pilgrims.

Haj pilgrims from Uttar Pradesh will go to haj from three embarkation points. Besides Varanasi, the other embarkation points for haj pilgrims are Delhi and Lucknow international airports.

While pilgrims from Western Uttar Pradesh will embark for haj from Delhi and those from Eastern Uttar Pradesh will go for haj from Varanasi airport, pilgrims from Central Uttar Pradesh and the remaining areas will embark on their holy pilgrimage from Lucknow International Airport.

Haj pilgrims can also check their flight status by entering their cover number on Haj Committee of India website.

The Haj Committee of India ( will also inform individually all pilgrims who are going for haj in 2017 through e-mail and SMS.

Meanwhile, the Hajj Committee of India has also uploaded on its website details of “standard baggage” allowed for the haj pilgrims.

According to the details released by the Haj Committee, allowed check-in bag include 02 suitcases of 22 kg each while permissible hand bag is one weighing maximum of 10 kg.
