Mumbai: The Indian Instititue of Technology (IIT) Roorkee has released today i.e. Friday March 17, 2017 the Final Official Answer Keys of the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2017 on its official website gate.iitr.ernet.in.
The Final Answer Keys have been uploaded after candidates challenges.
The Indian Instititue of Technology (IIT) Roorkee had earlier released on March 03, 2017 the Module to challenge the Answer Keys of the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2017 on its official website.
Candidates can contest the Aanswer Keys through the GATE Online Application Processing System (GOAPS) till 10am (IST) on March 6. The Answer Keys were released by Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee, the organising institute for the exam, on February 27.
"A candidate can challenge the Answer Key of any question after giving their justification(s) and payment of Rs. 500 (for each question) through the online payment portal available in the GOAPS. For candidates who have appeared in GATE 2017 from outside India, the fee for each answer key challenge is US$10", IIT Roorkee said in a statement.
"While challenging the answer keys the candidates should ensure that they quote the proper question number as per the PDF file of the question paper given here. Please remember that if the proper question number is not correctly identified then the challenge may not be considered", it said.
"Payments for a successful challenge will be refunded. For all challenges on answer keys, the decision of the GATE 2017 committee shall be final and binding. No correspondence or telephone calls on this matter will be entertained", it added.
Conducted by the Indian Institute of Science and the IIT, GATE scores are used for admission to MTech/PhD programmes in IITs, IISc and various other institutes. GATE is conducted in 23 disciplines of engineering and science subjects and identifies the candidate’s understanding of a subject and aptitude and eligibility for higher studies.
GATE scores are also used as a criterion for recruitment in government organisations such as cabinet secretariat, and national and state public sector undertakings in India.
GATE 2017 was conducted on February 4, 5, 11 and 12. The results will be declared on on March 27. The GATE score is valid for 03 years.
