Kohima (Nagaland): The Nagaland Board of School Education (NBSE) has declared online the results of Class 10 or High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) examination today on Monday May 08. The Nagaland board HSLC results are available on websites and through SMS.
According to the details made available by the board, a total of 22,446 students had appeared for the Nagaland HSLC 2017 exams. Of them 15,754 cleared it taking the pass percentage to 70.19%. The pass percentage registered an increase of 4.77% compared to 2016.
Deepa Mishra of Holy Cross Higher Secondary School Dimapur ranked first by securing 97.67 per cent while Nandita Paul of Pranab Vidyapith HSS Dimapur and Harsh Jain of Don Bosco HSS Dimapur ranked second and third respectively with 97.17 per cent and 96.67 per cent respectively.

Multiple media reports citing board sources, including IndiaResults - the associate website of state boards to display various exam results, had earlier said the Nagaland Board of School Education (NBSE) will declare HSLC results on Monday May 8, 2017.
"The provisional results of the HSLC and HSSLC Examinations 2017 conducted by the NBSE shall be declared in the afternoon of 8th May 2017", said the NBSE Kohima said in a statement released earlier.
The provisional Result Gazettes will be issued to all the registered institutions of the Board. The Results will also be available on the notice board of the Office.
The board has also asked the heads of registered institutions to collect the marksheets and other documents from the afternoon of 8th May to 10th May 2017.
The Nagaland Board of School Education (NBSE) HSLC or Class X exams were held from February 15 to February 27, 2017.
Last year, the Nagaland Board of School Education (NBSE) HSLC or Class X results were declared on 25th May 2016. A total of 24,055 students had appeared for the Nagalnad HSLC exams in 2016. Out of them 15,027 students had passed. Madhu Kumari Giri with a score of 96.83% was state topper in 2016.
Famously known by its short name i.e. NBSE, the Nagaland Board of School Education is the primary school education board in the state of Nagaland. The board operates under the Nagaland state government and looks after the development and propagation of school education in the state.
The foundation stone of this education board was laid on 15th of November 1973 but it commenced working from 1st October, 1974.
The Nagaland Education board deals with all academic operation for the students enrolled in various schools and educational institutes, conduct exams and declared NBSE result. The organization also conducts and controls all examinational proceedings of HSLC and HSSLC.
