Ahmedabad: A Class 9 tribal student was stabbed to death in a school in Vadodara on Friday.
The victim was the student of Shree Bharati Vidyalaya, Vadodara. He was attacked on the rear of his head with a sharp object, his throat was slit and there were stab wounds on his stomach, according to the police.
The student was lying in a pool of blood in the boys’ toilet and later succumbed to his injuries before the ambulance arrived. The forensic team and officials were rushed to the spot. The body was taken for post-mortem after identification, police said.
The victim had a fight with a senior student before his body was discovered from the school’s toilet. Sharp-edged weapon injuries were found on body of the boy. Police have reportedly found a blood-soaked knife from next to the body of the 14-year-old student, according to local media reports.
The incident has reminded the murder of a Class 2 student Pradyuman Thakur at Gurugram’s Ryan International School last year in September. The cops had first arrested a school bus conductor for the murder. But, the CBI later exonerated him and arrested a Class 11 student of the same school who is awaiting trial after Juvenile Justice Board decided that he would be treated as an adult.
