Chennai: Tamil Nadu State Board of Secondary Education (TNBSE) has declared online the Class 12 i.e. HSC +2 exam (Plus Two) results 2018 on its official website today on Wednesday May 16, 2018.
The TNBSE 12th results is declared today at 09:30 am.
The overall pass percentage is 91.10% with 87.70% boys and 94.10% girls have passed. A total of 6754 schools scored 100% results. irudhnagar is top among districts securing 97 per cent. District Erode stands at the second position with 96.3%. Performance of Chennai district has marginally improved from 92.99% to last year's 93.09%.
The maximum pass percentage is registered in Physics at 96.2%, 95% in Chemistry, 96.3% in Biology, 96.4% in Maths, 93.9% in Botany and 91.3% in Zoology for Science stream. Maximum percentage in Commerce is 90.3% and 96.1% in Computer science.
Overall a total of 231 students, including 50 boys and 181 girls, have scored above 1180. More than 40% students have scored in the range of 700 and below.
A total of 8,93,262 students took the exam in March in 2017 and 8,22,838 passed the 2018 TNBSE Plus 2 exam.
The TNBSE XII board Plus Two exam results 2018 can be checked on the official website tnresults.nic.in of Tamil Nadu state board of secondary education and also at dge.tn.gov.in and dge1.tn.nic.in.

- Enter Registration Number and date of birth.
- Click on Get Marks button

The Tamil Nadu Higher Secondary Examination 2017 were conducted from March 03 to April 06, 2018 at 143 exam centres across the state. As per the board statistics, the maximum number of students wrote examination in the Tamil Medium.
The TNBSE Class 12 Plus Two results in 2017 were declared on May 12 whereas the 2016 result was announced on May 17.
The overall pass percentage in 2017 was 92.1%. While the pass percentage for girls was 94.5%, it was 89.3% for boys. A total of 8.93 lakh students appeared for the TN Board HSC 2017 examinations. A total of 8,33,682 students had appeared for the 2016 exam and the pass percentage was 91.4%.
The Government of Tamil Nadu have constituted a new Board for School Examination viz "Tamil Nadu State Board of School Examination" by merging the existing two separate boards (1) Board of Secondary Education and (2) Board of Higher Secondary Examinations.
