UPSC CDS I Notification

New Delhi: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) will conduct UPSC Combined Defence Services Exam (I) 2019 on February 03. The last of application for UPSC CDS (I) 2019 is November 26, 2018, the UPSC said in the official notification released Wednesday.

The UPSC CDS (I) 2019 exam will be conducted to fill some 417 seats including 100 for the Indian Military Academy Dehradun, 45 for Indian Naval Academy Ezhimala, 32 posts for Air Force Academy Hyderabad, 225 posts for Officers’ Training Academy Chennai, 15 posts for Officers Training Academy Chennai (25th SSC Women (NT) course), the notification said.

"Since women candidates are eligible for OTA only, they should give OTA as their first and only preference", the UPSC notification said.

The Union Public Service Commission will conduct the Combined Defence Services Examination (I), 2019 at 41 Centres throughout the country on 03.02.2010 (Sunday).

Application Fees

Candidates (excepting Female/SC/ST candidates who are exempted from payment of fee) are required to pay a fee of Rs. 200/- (Rupees Two Hundred Only) either by depositing the money in any Branch of SBI by cash, or by using net banking facility of SBI, State Bank of Bikaner & Jaipur/State Bank of Hyderabad/State Bank of Mysore/State Bank of Patiala/State Bank of Travancore or by using Visa/Master Credit/Debit Card.


"Mobile phones, pagers/ Bluetooth or any other communication devices are not allowed inside the premises where the examination is being conducted. Any infringement of these instructions shall entail disciplinary action including ban from future examinations", the UPSC said.

"Candidates are advised in their own interest not to bring any of the banned items including mobile phones/pagers/Bluetooth or any valuable/costly items to the venue of the examination as arrangements for safe keeping can not be assured . Commission will not be responsible for any loss in this regard", it added.

The Online Applications can be filled upto 26th November, 2018 till 6:00 PM. The online Applications can be withdrawn from 03.12.2018 to 10.12.2018 till 6.00 PM.

Admit Card

The UPSC in its notification said it will release the CDS (I) 2019 Admit Card two weeks before the exam. This means that the CDS (I) 2019 Admit Card will be released in 3rd week of January, 2019.

The UPSC CDS (I) exam is comprised of written exam followed by interview.
