Agra: Alleging that Samajwadi Party Chief Mulayam Singh Yadav and his son and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav have joined hands with the Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP), Muslim organisations in Agra have said the arrival of Ram Temple foundation stones in Ayodhya has got tacit approval of the SP government.

"Faizabad administration have denied giving any permission to any organisation to bring the stones in the district and yet the stones arrived. It is a clear indication that this entire episode had the tacit approval of the UP government which was working with the BJP and trying to marginalise the Muslims of the state", Bhartiya Muslim Vikas Parishad national Chairman Sami Agai said while talking to India Today.

He said that the matter of Ram Temple and Babri Mosque was pending before the Supreme Court of India and by allowing the stones to brought into Faizabad before the matter was decided by the court, was a grave insult done to the supremacy of the Apex court.

"As the Faizabad administration is allowing VHP to bring construction material for the temple in Ayodhya, it should by no means stop the Muslim organisations from bringing material for the construction of the Babri Masjid", he added.

"The Supreme Court has mandated a status-quo at until a decision is made and it is the responsibility of the government to prevent any activities in Ayodhya that could disturb this status-quo", he said.

Congress City Secretary Mohd. Sharif Qureshi too nodded in approval and said that the entire episode that was acted out in Ayodhya and provides enough proof of an alliance between the SP and the BJP and the focus was the 2017 assembly elections in the state.
