Lucknow/Mumbai: Targeting him for his clemency demand to Yakub Memon, the Hindu Mahasbha on Tuesday termed Hyderabad MP and All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (MIM) president Asaduddin Owaisi 'anti-Hindu', a symbol of 'anti-National' elements while announcing a cash prize for his head.
“Such execution of 'the anti national element' will be a great lesson to the anti-Hindus too”, Kamalesh Tiwari, the National President of Akhil Bharat Hindu Mahasabha, has been quated as saying in daily Saamana (Hindi Edition), while declaring a cash priize of Rs. 10 lakh for Asaduddin Owaisi's execution.
Tiwari said that the decision to execute Owaisi was taken in the National executive of the Hindu mahasabha. He also said that the assailant will be helped for 'highest legal and other help'.
Kamalesh Tiwari urged to slain Asaduddin Owaisi as he is a 'symbol of anti-National elements'.
"So far, Owaisi will give the call against Hindus, Hindus must continue the war (Dharmayudh) against such fanatic", Tiwari said according to the report publsihed in daily Saamana (Hindi Edition), the mouthpiece of Shiva Sena.
Explaining this declaration of execution and tagged award as a ‘people’s initiative’, an analyst of ‘Jihad and its consequences in India’, says, “This direct move against the supporters of Jihad in India must draw government's attention so as to a law and order problem in the country”.
“These people are shedding tears for Yakub Memon over his hanging. Are they rejoicing the tears of the members of the bereaved families of 257 killed persons in the March 12, 1993 serial blasts in Mumbai, perpetrated by Memon brothers and Dawood Ibrahim?
"Why these terror supporters are not raising their voice for the families of 700 people injured and many of them turned handicapped forever due to the blasts?”, Tiwari asked.
Meanwhile, the Hindu Mahasbha's provocative decision has invited sharp reactions in the Urdu media. The Urdu Times, a Mumbai Urdu daily, in a special article published Wednesday, asked the Muslim leaders and activists to file criminal cases against Tiwari.
The newspaper, while advising restraint in the wake of the Hindu Mahasabha provocation, wondered why the BJP and other Hindutva leaders are silent on the killing of over 2000 people, mostly Muslims, in the riots that ocurred after the demolition of the Babri Masjid.
The paper said that the perpetrators of the 1993 Mumbai blasts must be punished, no Muslim is opposed to this. But, what about the people who were responsible of killing innocents in the 1992-93 Mumbai riots.
The newspaper also said the Hindu Mahasbha provocation requries suo-moto action by the police and administration.
