New Delhi: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will make available for download students' 'Admit Cards' for the All India Pre-Medical/Pre-Dental Entrance Test 2016 (AIPMT 2016) from Thursday April 07 onwards, it is officially announced.
The CBSE had earlier announced that it would publish online the Admit Cards for the AIPMT 2016 on April 01. However it declared later that the AIPMT 2016 Admit Cards will be available for donwloads from April 07 onwards.
The decision to postpone was taken because many students had not updated the required details.
"As per schedule, Admit Cards of AIPMT are to be hosted on website on 1st April, 2016. Admit Cards are containing vital information of the candidates. Some of the candidates have not updated their details despite several reminders. Such candidates have been informed by SMS to update their details.
"In view of the above, Admit Cards will be uploaded on website on 7th April, 2016", the CBSE said in the official announcement made on March 31.
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has now confirmed once again that the candidates who are appearing for the AIPM 2016 will be able to download their Admit Cards from the official website April 07 onwards.
Steps to Download AIPMT 2016 Admit Card
- Go to the official website of AIPMT at www.aipmt.nic.in.
- Click on the tab displaying ‘Candidate Login’
- Enter Registration Number and Password
- Click on Login button.
- Click on the link of Admit Card
- Admit card will be displayed on the screen
- Download it and take a printout
All India Pre-Medical/Pre-Dental Entrance Test (AIPMT) is an annual medical entrance exam in India which is conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) for admission in MBBS and BDS courses running in medical colleges accross the country.
This year the exam will be held on May 01, 2016.
The entrance test is being conducted for the 15% merit positions in the Medical/Dental Colleges of India as specified in the directives of the Supreme Court and will be governed by the rules and regulations specified for the same by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India from time to time.
There are also State Governments/Universities/Institutions voluntarily participating in the All India Pre-Medical/Pre-Dental Entrance Test - 2016 for using its merit list for admission in the Medical Colleges/Dental Colleges against seats under their control, according to the AIPMT official website.
The responsibility of the CBSE is limited to the conduct of the entrance test, declaration of result and providing merit list to the DGHS and participating States/Universities/Institutions.
