Mumbai/Pune: The Maharashtra Director of Education office has released online the Third and Final Merit List i.e. Merit List - III i.e. Round 3 List for admission to First Year Junior College (FYJC) today i.e. Tuesday July 12, 2016 at 07:00 pm for Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR) on its official website.
The FYJC Third List ffor Pune Region will be released tomorrow i.e. Wednesday July 13, 2016.
The Merit List - III i.e Third Merit List i.e. Round 3 List for admission to First Year Junior College (FYJC) for students in Mumbai Metropolitian Region (MMR), released today at 07:00 pm is available on www.fyjc.org.in/mumbai.
For students in Pune region, the FYJC Merit List III (Round 3 List), will be released on Wednesday at 04:00 pm. It will beavailable for download on www.pune.fyjc.org.in.
The Maharashtra Director of Education had earlier postponed by a day the release of the Third and Final Merit List i.e. Merit List - III i.e. Round 3 List for admission to First Year Junior College (FYJC), according to an official notification.
"It has been decided to extend till July 11, 2016 the admission process for the Second Round due to Eid vacation", the department said in an official announcement.
"Furthermore, the Third and Final Merit List will be declared on July 12, 2016 instead of July 11 as earlier scheduled", the statement said.
It later decided to release the Third Merit List for Pune Region on Wednesday July 13, 2016 at 04:00 pm, according to media reports.
"After the candidates are allotted a seat in the Third and Final Merit List today, they need to confirm their admision by paying fee of Rs 50/ and reporting to centres on 13th and 14th July between 10 am to 3 pm", it added.
To check Merit List III, students in Mumbai Region which include Greater Mumbai, Thane, Kalyan, Dombivali, Raigad and Ulhasnagar, need to:
- Log in to official website by clicking www.fyjc.org.in/mumbai.
- Click on "Check Result (Round III)" given on Left Side of the page.
- Enter Application Form No. in the box
- Click on "Get Merit".
To check Merit List III, students in Pune region need to:
- Log in to official website by clicking www.pune.fyjc.org.in.
- Click on "Check Result (Round III)" given on Left Side of the page.
- Enter Application Form No. in the box
- Click on "Get Merit"
Although there is a strong murmur that the board is contemplating a fourth merit list, there has been no official announcement about the same.
“If students remain without a seat even after the third list, then we will announce a fourth list or directly allot them seats in colleges that have vacancies,” said a senior official from the Deputy Directorate of Education, Mumbai region.
The admission in the first phase had concluded by last Thursday after the first merit was announced on 27 June.
The Second List was declared on July 04, 2016. Though the last date of confirmation in this round was July 08, 2016, the date was extended till July 11 due to Eid vacations. The list saw cut-offs at top colleges drop by less than 2% for Arts, Science and Commerce.
In Mumbai, a total of 1,84,977 seats were allotted in the first round of merit for FYJC Mumbai region against 2,22,622 registrations. Over 47 thousand candidates had got the seat of their first preference with over 22 thousand and 16 thousand getting the seat of their second and third preference, respectively.
In Pune region, a total of 15,563 students have got admissions in the second round.Of them, 5,040 got fresh allotments and 10,523 betterment options. By Friday, 7,486 of 15,563 students confirmed admissions, 19 rejected seats and 66 cancelled admissions. 7,992 have not yet reported for admissions.
