Goa:
Wearing traditional local headgear has become a common political manoeuvre during campaigning, but when Arvind Kejriwal tried his hand at it tofay by donning a bright and colourful floral headgear in Goa, it opened a floodgate of memes and gave fodder to the to the Twitteratti, resulting in several trolls.

In a bid to pitch for the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) against Congress and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Kejriwal was in Goa doing his business, but little did he knew that his attempt to woo the people of the state would end up in him become the trending joke on Twitter.

The AAP supremo was pictured at an event in Goa wearing flowers in his hair, which appeared like a snap chat filter and his special appearance has resulted in the mushrooming of hilarious comparisons and parodies.

Kejriwal's flowery appearance gave enough fodder to the Twitter trollers.

Ray Stings @Purba_Ray tweeted:

"Phool wearing fool."

Sagarcasm: @sagarcasm

"Growing Flowers on Head. Aur kya achhe din chahiye?"

Anuradha @anuradha_kush

"When you have dharna at 6, but you gotta attend Coachella at 8."

Ashwin Mushran @ashwinmushran

"Me and my friends after taking in all the drugs in UdtaPunjab."

Every year, during the feast of 'Sao Joao', the feast of St. John, Goans put on crowns of wildflowers

called kopels, drink feni and jump into wells to celebrate the arrival of the monsoon.

An enthusiastic Kejriwal all geared to woo the electorates of the state left no stone unturned, but clearly it has backfired.
