AMU librarian wins Bonnie Hilditch International Librarian Award 2018

Aligarh: Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) Librarian Dr. Nabi Hasan has been declared winner of the 2018 Bonnie Hilditch International Librarian Award of Special Libraries Association (SLA) USA.

One of the most reputed award of the profession, the Bonnie Hilditch International Librarian Award, sponsored by the Science-Technology and Engineering Divisions of SLA is presented annually to a librarian outside of the United States and Canada on the basis of nominations and contributions to the profession.

Dr Nabi Hasan is Norman E. Borlaug Fellow, Cornell University, USA, Vice-President, Indian Association of Special Libraries and Information Centres, Joint Secretary, Asian Library Association, Treasurer-Elect 2018, Special Libraries Association (SLA-USA), Director, SLA-USA, Asian Chapter and Secretary, Delhi Library Association. He is working as Universtiy Librarian and incharge of Maulana Azad Library AMU. It is the largest university library in Asia.

The award will be presented to Dr. Hasan at the 2018 SLA Annual Conference in Baltimore, Maryland, USA during 9-13 June 2018. The award carries US $3000/- which covers all the expenses for attending this most reputed Annual professional event.
