New Delhi: Prabhav Rajvanshi, Nishchal and Aditya Y Kashyap are top rankers according to the Union Public Services Commission (UPSC) Final Result of the Combined Defence Services Examination (I) 2018 (CDS I 2018 Exam) declared Friday on its website upsc.gov.in.
The Union Public Services Commission (UPSC) has also relased the list in order of Merit of 100 (60 + 33 + 07 ) candidates who have qualified on the basis of the results of the Combined Defence Services Examination (I), 2018 conducted by the Union Public Service Commission in February, 2018 and SSB interviews held by the Services Selection Board of the Ministry of Defence for admission to the 146th Course of Indian Military Academy, Dehradun; Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala, Kerala and Air Force
Academy, Hyderabad (Pre-Flying) Training Course.
Among the 100 successfull candidates, 60 are for Indian Military Academy, 33 are for Indian Naval Academy and 07 are for Air Force Academy. There are also some common candidates in the lists for the three courses listed above.
The only Muslim who figured in the list of successful candidates is Zeeshan Alam. His name is in both the lists of Indian Miltary Academy as well as Indian Naval Academy.
The number of vacancies, as intimated by the Government is 100 for Indian Military Academy [including 13 vacancies reserved for NCC ‘C’ certificates (Army Wing) holders], 45 for Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala, Kerala Executive(General Service) [including 06 vacancies reserved for NCC ‘C’ Certificate holders (Naval Wing)] and 32 for Air Force Academy, Hyderabad.
The Commission had recommended 2778, 1720 and 623 as qualified in the written test for admission to the Indian Military Academy, Indian Naval Academy and Air Force Academy respectively. The number of candidates finally qualified are those after SSB test conducted by Army Head Quarters.
