Bhopal: A monthly bilingual medical health journal christened as "New Life Era" has come into existence in the world of print journalism.

The "New Life Era" medical health journal was jointly released by Bhopal Shahar Qazi Maulana Syed Mohammad Fazil Qasmi and Madhya Pradesh's Culture and Public Relations Minister Laxmikant Sharma here at Samanvay Bhavan in a glittering but simple function.

Speaking on the occasion Laxmikant Sharma, who was the chief guest, said that there are challenges to provide health facilities to all. These challenges could be successfully met through the ancient medical systems of the country namely Unani, Ayurvedic and Homoeopathy.

He said that Homoeopathy is a reliable medical system for which there should be awareness amongst the masses as it is cheap and very much beneficial. Homeopathy is not only cheap but gives permanent relief to patients who adopt this system of medicine.

He said that he himself and his old mother along with all other members of his family take Homeopathic medicines.

He hoped that the “New Life Era” journal would awaken the people at large about Homoeopathic system of medicine’s efficacy and its easy mode of treatment.

He appealed the assemblage to adopt Homeopathy and spread the message all around so that the society can benefit from it.

Sharma while lauding energetic Dr. Mohammad Zakaria, the Chief Editor of the “New Life Era” medical health journal, for his dynamism, vigour and leadership qualities for the cause of Homeopathy, said that Madhya Pradesh Government was with him and would extend all necessary support in his endeavour.

He also praised the services of the family of Dr. Ilyas, father Dr. Zakaria, and Dr. Khalil-ur-Rahman in the field of Homeopathy.

It may be mentioned here that Dr. Zakaria was cynosure of all eyes on the occasion as others who spoke at the launching of the health journal also eulogized his head and heart qualities and his services in the field of Homeopathy to popularize it.

Bhopal Shahar Qazi Maulana Syed Mohammed Fazil Qasmi, who presided over the function, said for every disease on earth Almighty Allah has provided remedy which in some cases the mankind is at loss to recognize. However, due to his efforts and research man discovers the treatment, in due course of time, for the new diseases which surface.

He said it is “Sunnat-e-Nabawi” of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) who also advocated treatment with medicines apart from the Quranic verses.

"Sare Insaan Allah Ka Kumba Hai Aur Allah Bhi Un InsaanoN Ko Pasand Karta Hai Jo Doosron Ki Khidmat Karte Hain", Shahar Qazi remarked.

Dr. Zakaria assured that the journal will touch new heights of medical treatment systems especially Unani, Homoeopathy and Naturopathy.
Meanwhile, on behalf of New Life Education Society nine personalities were felicitated on the occasion for their outstanding contributions in their respective fields of activities.

Those who were felicitated included: Sagheer Baidaar (veteran journalist & social worker), Dr. G. D. Bangad (Vaidya), Dr. Prakash Joshi (senior Scientist), Dr. Khalil-ur-Rahman, Dr. Aniruddh Verma, Dr. K. N. Nishant and Dr. Amit Patil (all four reputed Homoeopathic physicians), Bhaskarrao Bhagwat (Sportsman - former National Shooting Ball player & coach) and Shyam Chaturvedi (journalist). They were honoured by presenting them shawls, mementos and certificates.

Laxmikant Sharma and Bhopal Shahar Qazi Maulana Fazil were also honoured in the function.

At the outset Mohammad Afaq recited verses from the Holy Quran. Dr. Khalil-ur-Rahman rendered a “Nazm” (poetic stanzas) penned by him in praise of Public Relations Minister Laxmikant Sharma for his long life. Dr. Khalil is also a personal physician of the minister.
