Mumbai: Even as about 1.5 million students who appeared for the Class 12 exams in February/March this year are anxiously waiting, the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education, Pune is completely silent on the exact date of the result announcement.
"We will be meeting either today or tomorrow to finalise the date of the results announcement. Till we meet, no speculations", board chairman Sarjerao Jadhav said Monday.
The Maharashtra HSC board had earlier announced that the results would be declared in the last week of May.
When the CBSE class 12 results were declared yesterday, lakhs of students of the Maharashtra HSC students also logged on to the internet and searched for the results.
"I remained hooked to the internet for hours in search of my results or any information about the exact date. However, could not find anything perfect", Sumeet Doshi, a student said while talking to ummid.com.
More than 14 lakh students across three streams namely science, commerce and arts appeared for the exam that was held between February 21 and March 25, 2013.
Once the date is declared, students can access their results by logging on to the board's official Web site at http://msbshse.ac.in or mahresult.nic.in
To access their scores on the website, students have to provide their Roll Number.
A provisional mark-sheet will also be provided which can be downloaded from the site.
The exam was conducted in Pune, Mumbai, Nagpur, Nashik, Amravati, Aurangabad, Kolhapur, Latur and Konkan districts of Maharashtra.
The delay in the result announcement was expected due to the boycott of evaluation of Higher Secondary Certificate examination answer sheets by junior college teachers.
