Mumbai: The results of the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE-Mains) will be declared on April 27 whereas the answer keys and images of response sheets (OMR sheets) will be displayed on the official website April 18 onwards
"The results of the JEE Mains exams will be declared online on April 27 whereas the answer keys and images of response sheets of the pen and paper based examination as well as the computer based examination will be displayed during April 18 and 22", officials said.
"In case, the candidates are not satisfied by any particular response, the candidates can challenge the same", they added.
"No score card will be dispatched, separately to the candidates. They will have to check it on the official website", they said.
JEE scores declared in these results will comprise the actual marks obtained in Paper-I along with the status of those who qualify for appearing in JEE (Advanced).
Separately, on the basis of score in JEE Main and normalized score in Std XII exam (60% & 40% weightage respectively), separate rank lists will be prepared admission to BE/B Tech and B Arch/ B Planning (in institutions other than IITs). This will be declared July 7.
JEE Main rank card indicating all India rank, state rank and category rank with total marks and marks in each paper will be available on JEE (Main) website after the declaration of result.
The pen and paper based JEE Mains exam was held on April 04. The computer based online exam will be held on April 10 and 11.
While more than 1.3 million students from all across the country appeared for the paper based JEE Mains exams, about 1.8 lakh students have registered for the online computer based exam.
JEE Mains conducted every year by the CBSE is the first step for admission to IITs as well as NITs, IIITs and other prestigious engineering institutes in the country.
Barring two errors, the paper based exam this year was balanced and free from major loopholes. Academic experts pointed out that questions in physics and maths sections were incorrect due to which the exam conducting body may decide to award full marks for those particular answers.
