At least three killed in road accident near Malegaon

At least three people were killed and four others were injured in a road accident near Manmad - some 30 kms from Malegaon at around 12:00 midnight, police said on Wednesday.
It is also learnt that all those killed and injured are from Malegaon.
According to the local police, the dead and injured were passengers of the Panchvati Express, and they were traveling to Malegaon from the Manmad Railway Junction by Maruti Omni taxi when the accident took place.

Eyewitnesses while talking to said that the taxi collided with a Tempo Traveler mini bus which was going towards Manmad. Both the vehicles are badly damaged in the accident.
Two of those killed are said to be from the Fort area of Malegaon whereas the third is from Nayapura.
Additional SP Sunil Kadasane said he has deployed the police personnel to the spot for emergency aid.

He also said that the death toll may be more than three.
He said the injured are being shifted to Jeevan Hospital and Malegaon General Hospital.
