New Delhi: Looking into the requests received by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) from the candidates to permit them to make correction in their data submitted in the National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test-II (NEET-II) application form, the CBSE has decided to provide 'One Time Correction Opportunity' to the candidates only in the data which may affect the merit.
According to a statement released by the CBSE Saturday, correction is being allowed only in their online application form which include Date of Birth, Gender, Category, Disability Status, State Codes of Eligibility and Medium of Question Paper.
"Correction in any other data is not allowed as this will not affect the candidature and the merit. Further, candidates are requested to be very careful while making corrections as no second opportunity will be made available for corrections", the CBSE said.
"After correction, candidates may print correction slip and retain the same for their reference and record. No correspondence thereafter will be entertained by the Board in this regard.
"Due to correction in Category, if additional fee is payable, the same shall be remitted through Debit/Credit Card or Net Banking during the given period only", it added.
The schedule for correction will start on Monday June 27, 2016 at 11:00 am and end on Wednesday June 29 at 11:59 pm.
"To avail the correction facility, candidates are requested to visit NEET website www.aipmt.nic.in during the schedule fixed for the correction facility", the CBSE said in the statement.
The CBSE had on Friday said that it will conduct the National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test-II (NEET-II) for admission to medical and dental colleges on July 24.
"This is to comply with the Supreme Court orders on the NEET and the Ordinance promulgated by the government", the CBSE said.
The process of online application for the NEET-II was opened on May 25 and ended on June 25, the CBSE said in a statement.
There was a demand from the CBSE to release the NEET-I Answer Key and extend the date of registration for NEET-II till June 30. The CBSE however turned down these demands.
The CBSE had on its website timeline announced the NEET-I Answer Key will be released only after the NEET Phase 2 exam.
The official NEET website under its section "Important Information at a Glance" has listed the entire schedule of the NEET Phase 2 exam to be held on July 24, 2016.
Under this section the CBSE says the OMR Sheet and Answer Key for NEET Phase 1 and NEET Phase 2 will be released together after the NEET Phase 2 is held on July 24.
According to this schedule, the NEET 1 and NEET 2 OMR Sheet will be published from 04.08.2016 to 06.08.2016 whereas NEET 1 and NEET 2 Answer Key will be made public from 07.08.2016 to 09.08.2016.
