Bus fell in river

Jaipur:
More than 30 people have been dead and over 15 are badly injured after a passenger bus, reportedly driven by a minor bus conductor, fell into Banas river Saturday in Sawai Madhopur's Dubi in Rajasthan.

Some reports have put the death toll as 32.

The Sawai Madhopur-Lalsot bus, which was ferrying pilgrims from Sawai Madhopur to Lalsot, fell off a bridge into the river, reportedly after the minor driver lost control of the vehicle due to over-speeding.

All the injured have been rushed to a nearby hospital. District officials have reached the spot and are actively supervising the rescue operation.

"Total 26 bodies have been recovered so far. Rescue operation is underway to find any survivors", Subhash Mishra, CO City, said according to ANI.

The passengers hailed from Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh and were on their way to offer prayers at the Ramdevra Temple in Lalsot.
