Haj 2017 Flight Schedule

The Hajj Committee of India on Wednesday has released the flight schedule of haj pilgrims who will be performing Hajj in August 2017. Haj pilgrims from Maharashtra embark on their haj pilgrimage from Mumbai, Nagpur and Aurangabad three embarkation points.

According to the details available from Haj Committee of India Mumbai office, the first Haj flight carrying the pilgrims from Maharashtra will take off from Nagpur Airport on August 09, 2017. The Haj flights from Aurangabad and Mumbai airports will respectively start from August 13 and August 19.

The last Haj flight from Aurangabad airport will be on August 23 whereas last Haj flight from Mumbai airport will be on August 26, 2017.

Pilgrims going to Saudi Arabia for Haj this year can check their flight schedule by entering cover no on the Hajj Committee of India website.

The Haj Committee of India will soon send letters and emails to inform the haj pilgrims about their flight date, time and other details. Pilgrims will also receive SMS from Haj Committee of India.

More than 170,000 pilgrims from India will perform Haj in the month of August, 2017 as also over 2.5 million others from different parts of the world.

The Haj Ministry in Saudi Arabia has alotted quota for every country based on population of Muslims. More than 3.5 million Muslims from all across the world perform Haj every year.

Coinciding with Eid al Adha, Haj is the annual ritual to commemorate the sacrifices made by Prophet Ibrahim, his wife Hager and his son Prophet Ismael.

Meanwhile, King Abdulaziz International Airport’s Hajj terminal in Jeddah and Prince Muhammad International Airport in Madinah have completed all preparations for receiving pilgrims who will start arriving at these airports from 1st Dhul Qada 1438H, the first day of the Hajj season of 2017.

Upon arrival at the terminal, officials from the Ministry of Health will receive pilgrims and give them necessary health guidelines and services, and then they will proceed to the Passport Control to complete immigration procedures.
