Andhra Pradesh SSC Class X Results 2017 declared; Overall pass percentage 91.92%

Directorate of Government Examinations (DGE) in association with Board of Secondary Education (BSE) Andhra Pradesh has declared online the results of AP SSC Class 10 or Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examination today i.e. Saturday May 06, 2017 at 03:00 pm.

The results were announced by state education minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao at Visakhapatnam.

"A total of 6,22,538 regular students appeared for the exam, out of which 5,60,253 cleared the exam accounting for a pass percentage of 91.92, 2.60% less than the previous year’s pass percentage", Rao said after result declaration.

“As many as 3,14,471 boys appeared for the examinations, of which 2,82,909 boys (91.87%) cleared their examinations. Among the 2,95,031 girls, who took the examinations, 2,51,344, accounting for 91.97%, passed the examinations. Thus, the girls outperformed boys marginally,” he added.

Besides the regular students, around 13,000 students appeared for the exam privately of whom, 8,262 students passed the examination, he said.

The results are now online and are available at "bseap.org" and some of the board's associate websites.

The AP SSC 2017 results of Private and Regular students both have been declared today at 03:00 pm.

Students should note that the results of AP Board SSC Class X results 2017 will be online and available for download exactly at 03:00 pm on board's official website and other websites. A delay of 10-15 minutes are possible.

The results are now available for download on the official website of the board - "bseap.org" and also on some of the associate websites. Like, the AP SSC or Class 10 results will also be available on mirror site i.e. "manabadi.com".

Here's how candidates can check TS SSC results:

  • Go to the result websites by clicking here: "IndiaResults" or "bseap.org"
  • Click on the link "SSC Results 2017"
  • Enter your roll number and date of birth, and other details if asked.
  • Click on submit/login button
  • Take a printout and save the result for future reference.

AP SSC 2017 Reuslts will also be available through SMS on students' mobile phones.

The overall pass percentage and detailed analysis of AP SSC 2017 results will be added here shortly. Names of state toppers and best performing districts will also be available here.

The AP SSC 2017 results were earlier supposed to be declared today at 12:00 pm. The declaration however was delayed and were declared today at 03:00 pm.

Multiple reports, including IndiaResults - the associate website of state boards to display various exam results, citing BSE AP sources had earlier said that AP SSC or Class X results 2017 will be declared today at 12:00 pm. Earlier reports citing BSE AP sources had said the AP SSC or Class X results will be declared on May 03.

The Andhra Pradesh Education board has already declared the Class 12 or Inter results. The advanced supplementary exams are to be conducted in the last week of May or first week of June.

Last year, the SSC or Class 10 or Class X results were announced on May 10 but this time, the board plans to declare the results early so that the process of admissions to Class 11 is hassle free.

Over 6 lakh students appeared for the exams in all 13 districts of Andhra Pradesh during 2015-2016 session. Last year, 94.52% of the candidates had cleared the SSC BSEAP examinations in the state. Best performing district in 2016 was Kadapa with a score of 98.89%. Worst performing district with a score of 90.11% in 2016 was Chittoor.

Directorate of Government Examinations is an independent department functioning under ministry of secondary education, Government of Andhra Pradesh. The department is responsible for conducting the SSC/OSSC Public Examinations and a number of minor examinations.

DGE’s office conducts SSC/OSSC examinations twice in a year. This is the major examination with a registration of 6.52 lakh candidates for Annual (March -2015) examinations and 0.75 lakh candidates for Advanced Supplementary Examinations(May / June -2015)

The Class 10 or SSC results in neighbouring Telangana were announced on Wednesday May 3.
