Islamabad: Former Cricketer and politician Imran Khan's third marriage too seems to be in trouble, at least reports widely circulating in local media claimed so.
According to the media reports, Imran Khan’s third wife Bushra Maneka has left his home and has returned to her maternal home after a dispute with the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chief (PTI) leader.
The reports claimed that Bushra Maneka, Imran Khan’s third wife and his "spiritual guru" is at her maternal house for more than a month now and the reason behind the dispute between the newly married couple was Bushra’s son.
It is reported that before their marriage, the couple had agreed that no one from Bushra’s family would stay for a longer period of time at Imran’s residence. Therefore the presence of Bushra’s son from his former husband Khawar Fareed Maneka, annoyed Imran Khan.
Imran Khan had married Bushra Maneka in February 2018. Bushra Maneka aka Bushra Bibi is said to be a "spiritual advisor". Bushra, who is in her 40s, is from the Wattoo clan, of which the Manekas are a sub-clan. She was married to Khawar Farid Maneka, a senior customs official in Islamabad, the Dawn newspaper reported.
Imran Khan himself has previously referred to her, a mother of five, as his 'spiritual adviser' and someone whose guidance he valued.
Imran Khan had first tied the knot with Jemima Goldsmith in 1995 that ended in divorce after nine years in 2004. His second marriage was with Reham Khan, then a TV anchor, which lasted barely 10 months. Reham Khan had recently said Imran Khan is good only in marrying, but is not fit to maintain a happy-married life.
