RRB ALP, Technician revised result on Dec 20; 2nd Stage CBT in January: Notification

The final date of 2nd stage RRB CBT is finalized as 21st, 22nd and 23rd January 2019, the RRB said

New Delhi: The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) in a notification released Tuesday said that the Revised Result of RRB 1st Stage Technician and Assistant Loco Pilot (ALP) will be declared on RRB Regional websites on December 20.

The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) further said that the 2nd stage RRB ALP and Technician computer based test (CBT) will be held in the month of January, 2019. "The final date of 2nd stage RRB CBT is finalized as 21st, 22nd and 23rd January 2019", the Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) said.

The RRB ALP and Technician Second Stage exam was supposed to start from December 12 to December 14, 2018. The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) had however, after representation from stakeholders to December 24. It has now further postponed it to January 2019.

The RRB had earlier said that it will review Answer Keys and publish revised scores and list of candidates shortlisted for RRB CEN 01/2018 2nd Stage exam.

Explaining the reasons behind its decision to review RRB ALP Answer Keys, the Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) said, "RRBs have received certain representations from the candidates raising issues on Answer Keys and translation in few of the questions. In response, RRBs have decided to examine all such issues afresh", the Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) said in its latest notification.

The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) notification in its latest notification dated December 04 said, "Results of First Stage Computer Based Test (CBT) examination were published on the official websites of all RRBs on 02 11-2018. Few candidates have represented that there are errors in question/translation. In the wake of these representation all language translation of all the question papers are being reviewed."

"It is expected that after this review fresh result of 1st Stage CBT along with the revised list of candidates shortlisted for 2nd stage CBT is likely to be published by 20.12.2018", it added.

"Accordingly, the Exam date for 2nd Stage CBT has been rescheduled on 21st, 22nd and 23rd January 2019", the RRB said.

The first stage RRB Group C CEN 01/2018 Assistant Loco Pilot and Technician Computer Based Test (CBT) was held from 09th August, 2018 to 04th September, 2018, in which a total of 36,47,541 candidates had appeared.
