
Hajj 2018: First Haj Flight Saudi Airlines SV-5902 from Indira Gandhi International Airport New Delhi has embarked for Madinah, Saudi Arabia today i.e. July 14, 2018 at 11:30 am. It will land in Madinah today afternoon.
The first Haj flight carrying 410 pilgrims from Delhi embarkation point will arrive at Prince Mohammad bin Abdulaziz International Airport, Madinah at 14:50 (local time). With this the first batch of pilgrims from India will land on the Holy Land. They will later go to Makkah to perform Hajj - the annual ritual to commemorate the sacrifices of Prophet Ibrahim, his noble wife Hager and their son Prophet Ismael (peace be upon them).
A total of 48 flights will be operated from Delhi Haj embarkation point. The last flight will be Saudi Airlines SV-5906. It will depart from Delhi at 18:00 on July 28, 2018 and reach Madina International airport at 21:20 on the same day.
The capacity of all inbound (inward) and outbound (outward) Haj flights from Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport Lucknow embarkation point is 410.
The first inbound Haj flight Saudi Airlines SV-5933 carrying 410 Haj pilgrims from Jeddah International Airport will depart at 15:45 on September 03, 2018 and arrive at Indira Gandhi International Airport New Delhi at 23:55 on the same day.
The last inbound Haj flight will be Saudi Airlines SV-5901. It will depart from Jeddah Airport at 04:15 on September 11, 2018 and reach New Delhi International airport at 12:25 on the same day..

Haj pilgrims can also check their flight status by entering their cover number on Haj Committee of India website or Uttar Pradesh State Haj Committee website. The Haj Committee of India "hajcommittee.gov.in" will also inform individually all pilgrims who are going for Haj in 2018 through e-mail and SMS about their flight schedule.
The Haj pilgrims from Delhi Embarkation Point are from Delhi, Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Chandigarh, Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh.
Pilgrims from Western Districts of Uttar Pradesh who will embark for Haj from Delhi airport are from Agra, Aligarh, Bijnor, Baghpat, Bhimnagar (Sambhal), Buland Shahar, Firozabad, Gautam Budh Nagar, Ghaziabad, Jyotibaphule Nagar, Mahamaya Nagar (Hathras), Mathura, Meerut, Moradabad, Muzaffar Nagar, Panchsheel Nagar (Hapur), Prabudh Nagar (Kairana,Shamli), Rampur and Saharanpur.
The Haj Committee of India, the apex body responsible to manage all Haj travel operations for the Indian pilgrims, has hired chartered planes for the air travel of the worshippers embarking on the annual ritual. In an official announcement released on Tuesday, the Haj Committee of India said the first Haj flight from India will be on July 14, 2018 and the last Haj flight will be on August 16, 2018.
“The Haj pilgrims from India will embark for Haj journey from 20 embarkation points by Charter Planes from 14th July, 2018 to 16th August, 2018 ”, the Haj Committee of India said. While the first Haj Flight on June 14, 2018 from Delhi, Gaya, Srinagar, Guwahati and Lucknow embarkation points, the last Hajj flight from Indian on August 16, 2018 will be from Ahmedabad, Cochin, Hyderabad and Jaipur embarkation points.
India has been allotted a quota of 170,525 pilgrims based on the population of Muslims in the country. Out of them 128,525 pilgrims will go to Makkah through Haj Committee of India., the remaining will hire the services of Private Tour Operators (PTO).
Coinciding with Eid al Adha, Haj is the annual ritual to commemorate the sacrifices made by Prophet Ibrahim, his wife Hager and his son Prophet Ismael. The likely date of Wuqoof e Arafat - the key ritual of the Hajj, is August 20 or 19. As the Islamic calendar is based on sighting of moon, the final date will be decided once the new moon of the month of Dhul Hijjah is sighted. Last year, Wuqoof-e-Arafat was on August 31, 2017.
More than 02 million pilgrims from over 150 countries, including 170,025 from India, performed Hajj in 2017. The first Haj flight in 2017 was from Delhi Embarkation Point on July 24 whereas the last Haj flight in 2017 was on August 26.
Meanwhile, King Abdulaziz International Airport’s Hajj terminal in Jeddah and Prince Muhammad International Airport in Madinah have completed all preparations for receiving pilgrims who will start arriving at these airports from 1st Dhul Qadah 1439H, the first day of the Hajj season of 2018.
Upon arrival at the terminal, officials from the Ministry of Health will receive pilgrims and give them necessary health guidelines and services, and then they will proceed to the Passport Control to complete immigration procedures.
