FYJC Admission 2018: The School Education and Sports Department, Govt of Maharashtra has postponed till July 19, 2018 the release of Second General Merit List (2nd Merit List) pf Mumbai, Pune, Nagpur, Amravati, Nashik and Aurangabad students who are seeking admission to First Year Junior College (FYJC).

The School Education and Sports Department, Govt of Maharashtra was supposed to release today i.e. July 16 the 2nd Merit List (Round 2 list) for FYJC admission in six cities.

"As per the order of Hon'ble High Court, Nagpur Bench on 12th July and accordingly Govt. order dated 16th July, Round-2 merit list will be declared on 19th July, 11 am", the School Education and Sports Department, Govt of Maharashtra, said in a message posted on the official website.

The Department had earlier revised the FYJC 2018 Admission schedule in all six cities due to heavy rains in Mumbai and Nagpur.

The School Education Department had released the First Merit List of Bifocal Subjects (Round 1 Allocation) on June 21, 2018. The 2nd List was released on Thursday June 28, 2018 and reporting time was upto 05:00 pm.

Students participating in FYJC 2018 Admission Process should note that there will be four Merit Lists. All the Merit Lists will be declared on the basis of the merit, category and the order of preferences of the applicant.

"After the First Round for every next round students will be allowed to change their junior college preferences order or stream according to availability of seats, within the stipulated time given for each round. If any student does not change preferences then preferences given for earlier round will be considered", the Information Booklet says.

"Allocation of each round will be as per merit, category and preferences. All the applications received, shall be considered for online admission process according to the merit category and the order of preferences given by the applicants", it reiterates.
