PSEB Class 10 Result 2018

Mohali: The Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) has released today on Tuesday i,e. May 08, 2018 the results of 2018 PSEB Class 10 exams, the board said in an official statement.

According to the PSEB, the overall pass percentage this year is 59.47 per cent.This is an increase of 2 per cent from the last year which was around 57 per cent. Gurpreet singh of Ludhiana topped the examination with 98 percent marks.

More than 3.6 lakh students had appeared for the Class 10 exam held in March 2018. Of them, about 1.04 lakh girls cleared the exam and 1.04 lakh boys passed the PSEB Matric 2018 board exam registering a pass percentage of 59.47%.

The PSEB 10th result are available for download on the board's official website pseb.ac.in and also on IndiaResults.com. The marksheet of the students will be uploaded on May 09, students should note.

How to check PSEB Class 10th Result 2018

  1. Go to the official website of the board by clicking here: pseb.ac.in or IndiaResults.com
  2. Click on the link marked with 'Class 10 Matriculation Examination Result March 2018'
  3. Enter name or roll number and click on find results
  4. Your result will be displayed on screen. Download it or take a print out for further reference

In an official statement posted on PSB website, the board said it is declaring the PSEB Class 10th results on May 08. The board however did not mention any specific time. The PSEB finally declared the 10th or secondary school or matric result today at 04:00 pm.

More than 3.6 lakh students had appeared for the PSEB Class 10 examination this year that was conducted from March 12 to March 31.

The PSEB had declared the Class 12 results on April 23. According to the PSEB Class 12 or Plus Two result declared by the board, the state recorded a pass percentage is 65.97. Like previous years, Girls have outperformed boys in the examination.

In the academics category, Pooja Joshi of Ludhiana from humanities stream stood first with 98% marks, followed by Vivek Rajput a student of science stream also from Ludhiana in the second position with 97.55% marks and Jasnoor Kaur of Muktsar from commerce stream is in the third position with 97.33% mark.

The PSEB Class 12 exam started on February 28 and ended on March 24, 2018, according to the PSEB time table.

The PSEB Class 12 exam was conducted in the afternoon session from 02:00 pm to 05.15 pm. Differently-abled and Speical students were given 20 minutes extra for every hour. All papers were of 03 hours. Fifteen extra minutes were given to students for reading the question paper.

The Punjab School Education Board came into existence through a legislative enactment in November 1969 for the development and promotion of school education in the state of Punjab. In 1987, the Vidhan Sabha amended the Board’s Act to grant it autonomy.
