New Delhi: The 4th poll of the 2024 Parliamentary Elections in India Monday May 13, 2024 ended with an overall polling percentage of 67.25%, the Election Commission of India said.
Polling in the 4th phase of 2024 Lok Sabha elections were held Monday across 96 parliamentary constituencies in 10 States/Union Territories.
The poll panel said, polling percentage in West Bengal was 78.37%, Andhra Pradesh saw a voter turnout of 76.50% and voter turnout in Madhya Pradesh was 70.98%.
Odisha recorded a polling percentage of 73.97, Telangana 64.74, Jharkhand 65.20, Uttar Pradesh 58.05, Bihar 57.06 and Maharashtra 59.64%.
Jammu and Kashmir recorded a voter turnout of just 37.98%.
The 4th phase polling percentage numbers released by the election commission is up to 11:45 PM Monday.
The overall polling percentage in the 3rd Phase of India’s 2024 Parliament Elections Tuesday May 07, 2024 was 64.40% amidst the reports that Muslims were forcefully barred from voting in Sambhal.
Polling for the second phase of the 2024 Parliament Election on 88 seats of the Lok Sabha was held on April 26, 2024 with a voter turnout of 64.2%.
The first phase of the Lok Sabha Polls had covered 102 seats spread across 21 states, with the Election Commission recording a voter turnout of around 64%. The poll percent in the first phase too was lower than what the country had seen in the 2019 elections.
The elections for the 18th Lok Sabha is being held in 07 Phases. Polling for the 3rd Phase will be held on May 07, 2024.
The counting of votes of all the seven phases will be held simultaneously on June 04, 2024.
