New Delhi: Janata Dal (United) president Sharad Yadav today said the Opposition was united on the issue of inflation and caste census and would defeat the government's move to create confusion among its rank by raising contentious issues like Women Reservation Bill and Civil Nuclear Liability Bill during the monsoon session of Parliament.

Yadav told mediapersons here that the NDA Coordination Committee would meet on July 26 at BJP leader L K Advani's home and discuss the strategy to be adopted to put pressure on the UPA government in Parliament over the crucial issue of price rise and caste census.

Asked whether he would be with his ally BJP or with the UPA government on the issue of Hindu terror, Yadav said terrorist has no religion and he was against any kind of terrorism.

He parried questions when asked whether he would ask NDA partner BJP to snap ties with RSS as many of the RSS leaders have been found to have links with terror incidents recently, he said since nobody would listen to him on such issue what was the point on raising it.

Yadav said after the success of historic July 5 'Bharat Bandh' jointly organised by the Opposition, all the trade unions except Bharatiya Mazdoor Sabha would hold a ''Virodh Diwas'' on September 7.

The JD(U) president said he met Union Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee yesterday and emphasised the need for including caste in enumeration.

He claimed that Mukherjee agreed with his formula of mentioning the caste of each individual in the census instead of putting them in the groups of SC/ST/OBC/General and this data could be given to the Social Justice and Empowerment Ministry which based on the data available about various castes could decide which category they belonged to.

Moreover, people would also have option of saying that they have no caste, he said.
