              Chennai:
An atmospheric depression over southeast Bay of Bengal, centred
around 1,250 km from here, is expected to intensify into a
cyclonic storm and cross between Chennai and Ongole in Andhra
Pradesh by Nov 7 evening or night, weather department officials
              said.

According to officials, rain or thunder shower would hit north
Tamil Nadu and south Andhra Pradesh coasts from Nov 6 morning.

The weather department predicted that winds with speed reaching
upto 65 km an hour would commence along and off north Tamil Nadu
and south Andhra Pradesh coast from Nov 6 morning.

Warning of rough sea conditions, the weather men advised fishermen
to avoid going into the sea. They are advised not to venture into
the sea along and off the Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
