In May 2010, both institutions had signed an agreemnt to cooperate
in various fields including image analysis, processing of visual

The VSAP centre will focus on the key areas of research including,

transmission of signals.
The centre will address the needs of defence, surveillance and
other important areas.
Khalifa University president Tod A. Laursen said: "This agreement
will allow us to boost our research profile internationally and it
will also promote knowledge sharing and will in turn lead to human
