Malgeaon:
In a
major setback for the BJP-Shiv Sena opposition in Maharashtra, the
Mumbai High Court February 23 declared the
election of Dada Bhuse from
Malegaon outer assembly constituency as void.
Two
time MLA from Malegaon, Dada Bhuse is
one of Sena's
senior leader in the region.
"Due to the non-disclosure of complete record of the criminal
cases pending against him, the court sets aside the election of
Dada Bhuse from the Malegaon outer assembly constituency", Justice
Roshan Dalvi said in the order deleivered in response to the
pettion filed by Arjun Bhuse.
Arjun Bhuse had contested as an independent against BJP-Shiv Sena
alliance candidate Dada Bhuse in the assembly elections held in
October 2009.
The court has given Dada Bhuse 4 week's time to appeal in the
Supreme Court.
Meanwhile, Dada Bhuse while expressing surprise over the judgment
said, "Its
a court order and I respect it. But I had provided complete
details of the cases pending against me. If there was any lapses,
the election officer should have rejected my papers."
"I
am consulting with my lawyers and will definitely go for an appeal
in the Supreme Court", he said while talking to ummid.com.
