            Nehru Planetarium turns 34

              Malegaon: 
              Nehru Planetarium March 03 celebrated its 34 the birth 
              anniversary. The day coincided with the culmination of a week long 
              heightened activity at the Planetarium that had several contests 
              for school kids.  
              
                
              
              On this occasion, the planetarium 
              added a new exhibit to its gallery on the first floor. In the 
              accompanying picture you see a lunar surface (made of FRP) and an 
              astronaut's space suit that allows a visitor to put her face in to 
              get pictured as a future astronaut to Moon (using one of the 
              future moon-missions of ISRO). 
              
                
              
              Prof. Deepak Mathur of TIFR Mumbai 
              was the Chief Guest on this occasion and he gave away cash prizes 
              and certificates to the 44 winners of six contests and also
