of Teachers Eligibility Test: Protesting youths threaten to end life

Dehra Dun: The police
security around a overhead water tank was beefed up after three BEd
qualified youths, who had climbed it last week demanding removal of
Teachers Eligibility Test, today threatened to end their lives by
jumping from it.
The police security has been beefed up around the water tank near
Bannu Colony in Race Course area so that any untoward incident can
be averted, police said.
The BEd qualified youths have been staging dharna near the water
tank for the past few days.
Manvir Rawat, Muralidhar and Ramkrishan Nautiyal had climbed the
overhead water tank to press for the demand of removal of Teachers'
Eligibility Test and increase the number of posts of teachers for
Vishisht Basic Teachers Course holders among others.
