New Delhi: The Jamia Millia Islamia
(JMI) has sold 114,244 forms for the varsity's approximately 7,000
seats with courses like management and engineering the most
sought-after, a varsity official said Thursday.

"The figure of sold forms is till May 9 and the seats are spread
over 231 professional and non-professional courses in 36
departments and 17 centres of excellence and research," a Jamia
              official said.

"It is an overwhelming response as the last date of receiving
completed application forms in many courses is over," the official
              said.

As per records, 37,902 forms for management and engineering
courses were sold by the varsity while the figure for teaching
courses like B.Ed and ETE (Elementary Teachers Education) stood at
9,423. Jamia's mass communication course sold 1,493 forms, added
              the official.
