Panaji: Ridiculing the
disclosure of assets by union cabinet ministers, the opposition Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Goa said Agriculture Minister
Sharad Pawar must have "forgotten to add a few zeroes".
Pawar disclosed his assets to be worth Rs.12 crore.
"He (Pawar) must have forgotten to add a few zeroes (to the Rs.12
crore)," said Leader of Opposition Manohar Parrikar.
"Or has Pawar forgotten to understand the meaning of zeroes now?"
Parrikar, a former chief minister, said Monday.
BJP president Nitin Gadkari has appointed Parrikar to head the
newly created good governance cell to promote better
administration in BJP ruled states.
Minister of Urban Development Kamal Nath is the richest in the
cabinet with over Rs.263 crore while Defence Minister A.K. Antony
seems to be the poorest with Rs.35 lakh.
The assets were declared Sep 3.
