London: A 55-year-old man from Poland cycled around
2,000 km across six countries to see his daughter graduate from a
British university.
Jerzy Jablonska, a shopkeeper, left home in Starachowice, Poland,
on a racing bike and cycled for 10 days, The Sun reported
Wednesday.
He pedalled from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., and travelled with only his
passport, cash, mobile phone and a puncture repair kit.
After crossing Poland, Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium and
France, he took a ferry across the English Channel.
Jablonska arrived at Portsmouth University just hours before the
graduation ceremony to see his 23-year-old daughter Monika awarded
a Bachelor's in International Business Studies.
"I wanted to do this because I was so proud of my daughter," the
proud father said.
His 50-year-old wife Ewa joined him, making the journey by car.

Believed to be built by Bibi Akbarabadi, one of the wives of then Mughal Emperor

Construction work was in progress after the discovery and
thousands of Muslim had offered Friday prayers on July 20,
