Tuesday July 31, 2012 10:40:40 PM, Pervez Bari, ummid.com

Bhopal: The doctors who have received medical education in Madhya Pradesh and have since settled in United States of America have shown a rare gesture towards Medical University established at Jabalpur.

These doctors have invited the Madhya Pradesh Minister of State for Medical Education Mahendra Hardia and Vice-Chancellor of the University Dr. D.P. Lokvani to America to discuss how they can help in development of this first ever medical university of Madhya Pradesh.

In response to the invitation Hardia and Dr. Lokvani today left for America. The expenditure on the visit of the duo would be borne by the hosts.

A five-day function would be held at Carelia in America to be attended by doctors of Indian origin, particularly those who have received medical education in Madhya Pradesh. The two-sessions of the function would discuss ways and means as to how these doctors can help in the development of the medical university in Madhya Pradesh.

It may be mentioned here that the medical university has already been established at Jabalpur. The Vice-Chancellor and Registrar have been appointed and requisite posts sanctioned for the university that would start conducting MBBS examinations from next year.
