Our Souls' (SOS) 33rd Children's Village in India and the third in
Andhra Pradesh will open Wednesday, it was announced here Monday.
"The purpose of this village is to provide family-based care with
love, respect and security to children, enabling them to grow into
good human beings and productive individuals," said Helmut Kutin,
president of SOS Children's Villages International.
Kutin will do the inauguration.
SOS Children's Village is an international body which provides
family-based care to children without parents all over world.
In India, it has 32 children's villages, which provides shelter
and family care to 6,500 children without parents.
The village in Tirupati will have 12 homes, and each home will
host about 10 children, S. Sandilya, president of SOS Children's
Village of India, said.
