Doha gets another Indian school

Tuesday September 18, 2012 06:34:40 PM, IANS

Doha: There's a new addition to the list of Indian schools in Qatar. The Scholar's International, which will follow the Central Board for Secondary Education (CBSE) curriculum, has opened it's doors for students in Doha's Muaither area.

In its inaugural year, the school will cater to Class I to IV students, Dr. Wandoor P. Aboobacker, chairman of the school, was quoted as saying in the Gulf Times.

The Scholar's International will function from a 4,000-square metre building, owned by Qatar Charity, which used to house the Tunisian National School.

Aboobacker said the school has 22 classrooms and is equipped with many facilities, including buses that will ferry children to different areas of Doha and its surroundings.

One of the major highlights of the school is Digital Campus, an end-to-end campus information management system, developed in collaboration with Education to Home (ETH Ltd).

The school provides online learning management system among other attractions.
