Robotics competition for Andhra school
students

Hyderabad: JAY Robotix Pvt. Ltd, pioneers in multidimensional robotics, has
announced ROBOKID 2013, a competition across more than 250 schools
in Andhra Pradesh, aimed at increasing awareness amongst the
student community about the field of robotics.
JAY, in a statement, announced that students from class 6 to 12
can register through their respective schools or individually on
the website http://www.jayrobotix.co.in till May 10. The
registration fee for each student is Rs.850.
The students registered will be entitled to an eight hour training
module free of cost on robotics. They will also get a licensed
version of ROBOGURU software exclusively developed by JAY to make
learning easier and bring a practical approach to all the science
and math concepts.
"Robotics in India is currently witnessing a surge and hence there
are a lot of opportunities in this field which the students will
be able to tap in future. The training they receive in the
competition will prove to be vital not only for studies but in
their all round development as well," said Sudhir Reddy, founder
and director JAY.
Prizes worth Rs.1.5 lakh are in store for the student teams that
emerge as the winner and runners. Also, school of winning team and
the school with maximum nomination will be awarded 7 lakh worth
Robotics lab each.
