London: Four men including a police officer were in hospital hospital Sunday after being stabbed during an attack at a mosque in the English city of Birmingham, police said.
Officers were called out to a mosque in the city's Ward End area late Saturday after reports that three men had been stabbed, news agency AFP quoted a spokesman for West Midlands Police as saying.
While a suspect was being arrested one of the officers was himself stabbed, the spokesman added. All four of the victims were in a stable condition in hospital, he said.
Police are holding a 32-year-old man on suspicion of attempted murder.
