Dr. Faizee AbdulWakeel, who has cleared the prestigious exam in his third attempt, scored 71.97% marks – just 0.31% less than the top scorer Agalawe Manoj Balkrishna who has scored 72.28% marks.

The results of the exams, held to fill a total of 1881 vacancies in the entire state, were announced Wednesday evening.

But now since he has cleared the coveted exam there is a very strong possibility that he will now become a permanent member of the Maharashtra state's Public Health Department.

Dr. Faizee AbdulWakeel had completed MBBS from Parvaranagar Medical College, and had been associated with quite a few reputed hospitals.

The soft-spoken Dr. Faizee AbdulWakeel is known in Malegaon for his eagerness to help the needy, especially the poor, in major surgeries.

As medical officer too he tried to provide the medical aid considered impossible in rural areas by utilizing the limited resources in hand.
