District administration Thursday declined the Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) president and Member of Parliament from Hyderabad, Asaduddin Owaisi the necessary legal permission to hold a rally in Azamagrh and address a meeting at city's Shibli Academy.

Asaduddin Owaisi, an acclaimed orator and barrister, who has also been awarded this year's best Sansad Award, has been denied permission citing law and order situation.

Besides addressing a public meeting in Azamgarh, Owaisi was scheduled to address Muslim intellectuals at Shibli Academy, a renowned institution, on February 01 and 02.

Meanwhile, Asaduddin Owaisi while talking to reporters said the Samajwadi Party which is heading the government in Uttar Pradesh is hand-in-glove with the communal forces.

Earlier, Maharashtra government too had denied him permission to hold public meeting in Malegaon.

In his reaction on the ban, Owaisi while talking to ummid.com said that the decision showed the frustration of the so-called secular governments afraid of a strong Muslim leadership.
"But, such move will only help me emerge stronger and more popular", he said.
