New Delhi: Muslims especially the youths on Sunday - the second and concluding day of the 32nd All India Ahle Hadees Conference here at Ramlila Ground, which was attended by Imam of the Prophet's Mosque Sheikh Abdul Mohsin Qasim besides renowned scholars from different parts of the world, were urged to live a balanced life and to understand the ethos of moderation and implement them in life.
"Muslims need to live a balanced life. The life which neither renounces the world nor dissolves completely in the worldly affairs. They should also remain alert as the forces of evil are bent upon destroying them", renowned Islamic scholar Dr Saeed-ur-Rahman Azmi, chancellor of Integral University (Lucknow) who also edits Arabic language magazine 'Al Ba'sul Islami' said while stressing on purification of faith.
On the occasion, president of Shah Waliullah Institute, Ataur Rahman Qasmi, lauded the Markazi Jamiat Ahle Hadees Hind (MJAH) for choosing the topic saying the ethos of moderation hold key in Islamic jurisprudence.
"It is indeed ridiculous that those propagate extremism are incessantly criticizing Islam," he said.
However, Qasmi, a member of All India Muslim Personal Law Board (AIMPLB) urged for spreading the true message of Islam to remove doubts created by international media.
In his inaugural address, Abdul Quddoos Umri, president of Madhya Pradesh unit of MAJH, said that the meaning of moderation can be understood from the life of Prophet Muhammad (SAW) and his companions (Sahaba). He urged the youth to understand the ethos of moderation and implement them in life.
Speaking on the topic of 'moderation in financial system', Khurshid Ahmad Salfi said that capitalist system of economy has triggered financial disarray and disorder in the society across the globe. He said that Islamic system of economy takes care of every section of society.
Shahabuddin Madni, head of western Uttar Pradesh unit of the MAJH, spoke on the importance of moderation in the light of Quran and Hadith. He lauded the role of the MAJH in disseminating true message of Islam.
Adding his view Abdul Lateef Riyazi, head of eastern Uttar Pradesh unit of the MAJH, said that Islam takes moderate approach in life. He said that Islam does not approve of any kind of discrimination on the basis of birth, caste, colour and region. So it is incumbent upon the Muslims to spread the message world over to end all sorts of discrimination.
Safi Ahmad Madni in his address emphasizes on Islamic principles on humility and moderation. He said these values played key role in spreading Islam. He asked the Muslims to desist from excesses in personal, religious, social and political life.
AKM Master, editor of Malayalam weekly, Vichandanam, and member of Nadwatul Mujahideen Kerala, said that Muslims should follow Quran in spirit and stand against oppressors. "Ensuring justice to weaker sections is incumbent upon the followers of Islam", he said.
Ghulam Mohammad Bhatt, head of Jammu and Kashmir unit of the MAJH, said that Islam teaches moderation for success in life. He added that all the revered people in Islam took moderate approach in life, which is key to their success here and hereafter.
On the occasion, Aqeel Akhtar Makki, general secretary head of Jharkhand unit of the MAJH, said that Muslims have left ethos of moderation taught by Islam as a result of which majority of them are dejected. "The plight of Muslims is chiefly due to internal dissent in the community", he observes.
Earlier, Markazi Jamiat Ahle Hadees Hind secretary general, Asghar Ali Imam Mahadi Salfi, emphasized upon peace, tranquility and brotherhood while explaining the meaning of moderation in the light of the Holy Quran and Hadith.
