Perth (Australia): A man allegedly swore at a Muslim woman before throwing a beer bottle at her and running off with her headscarf in the south of Perth, the capital city of the Australian state of Western Australia.
Australian Associated Press reported that the two argued outside a shopping center in Beeliar, a suburb of Perth, last Friday night. Their verbal exchange turned physical when the man allegedly called her a “… Muslim” and hit her with the bottle.
The woman's headscarf came off during the fight and the man then allegedly ran off with it, dumping it near the shopping center. The 34-year-old woman was not injured, and reported the incident to the Australian Islamophobia register.
The man is described as between 25 and 35 years old, about 175-180cm tall, with a slim build and short, blond hair.
