Pune (Maharashtra): Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) Chief Mohan Bhagwat will meet Bhumata brigade President Trupti Desai in the month of July.
The meeting between the two will be held in response to the letter sent to Bhagwat by Trupti Desai. In her letter, Desai has questioned the participation of women in their organisation.
"Bhumata brigade had sent a letter to RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat saying that women should be given equal recognition as men in the RSS. And in response to our letter Mohan Bagwat ji has said that in the coming month he will be busy with in house camps and will meet me in the month of July," said Desai.
Desai said she received the telephonic message through RSS Sampark Pramukh (PRO) Aniruddh Deshpande.
Desai wrote to RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat saying that it should allow women to become its members.
Trupti Desai has been in the news for months for leading a campaign to secure women's entry into the Shani Shingnapur temple in Ahmednagar district and the Trimbakeshwar Temple in Nashik district. She later also ran a campaign for entry of women in Mumbai's Haji Ali Dargah.
